Mr. and Mrs. Leland Van Orden and family motored to Bancroft with Mr. and Mrs. W. A. V&n Orden and Meleta. , Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Van Orden and Miss Meleta Van Orden attended a shower in Hyrum oh Mopday night at the home of Mrs. David Allen given in honor of her daughter, Melba. The Farm Bureau ladies will meet Tuesday after Relief Society in the church vestery at their regular meeting. They will take up the . making of , Christmas gifts. . On Wednesday evening the Parent-Teachemet at the school house at their regular meeting. The following program 'was given: two violin solos by Professor J. W. Pulsipher of the pviorth Cache high school, ac- companied by Miss Audrey Harris of Richmond. The fifth grade gave a dramatization of Peter Rabbit. Joseph McKnight gave the lesson on Parental Attitude. . About forty were present. e, j . , , rs On Friday afternoon Mrs. C. J. Van Orden entertained the De Lure club. All appointments were carried out in the Thanksgiving motif. After a delicious luncheon was served. 500" was enjoyed Prizes were awarded to Mrs. George Pond, Mrs. Dorris Hyer and Mrs. O. E. Tyner. Miss Carma Shumway and Mrs. Melvin Fullmer of Franklin were visiting in Lewiston on Friday. Friday afternoon, Mrs. Wendell Budsre entertained the Literary club at her home. The rooms entertainment were adorned with fresh flowers. Mrs. Dean Buttars.gave the biography of Martha Berry by Alice Booth after which Mrs. Clem Rawlins reviewed the book "Icebound by Owen Davis. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Fullmer have returned from Ogden and will make their home at Frank-- , lin the remainder of the winter. Gerald Wright and P. L. Rob- inson were at Pocatello, Idaho, last Friday on business. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Oeddes of Banida, Idaho, were visitors here Wedrtesday. Victor Johnson of Richmond, was here on business Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Olsen, Mr, and- Mrs. Alva C. Doney, Margaret Dunkley and Grace Lowe were among the Logan shoppers Friday. ,The Junior class of the high school attended the Preston chcol play Little Women. at .he Isis Theater Thursday everting. Mr. Fletcher Jones was -- chaperone of the party. Mrs. Merle Adamson entertained at a candy pull Tuesday evening at her home. Mrs. Joseph . Wickham, Margaret Dunkley and Grace Lowe were present and enjoyed the evening Immensely. Miss Lima Jensen of Cove, visited high school here Friday. James Handy returned Friday from Salt Lake City where he visited at the home of his daughter Mrs. Emma Garrett. The club members held their meeting Friday at the home of Mrs. Bernice Parkirfson, where the afternoon was spent in plaving cards. A dainty luncheon was served in' a room decorated very effectively with fall flowers. Mrs. Le Vor Doney won high score and Mrs- A. P. Anderson all cut prize. Special guests were Mrs. A. P. Anderson of Preston, Mrs. Heber Lowe. Mrs. Vernon Olivetson, Mrs. Ray Merrill and Mrs. Albert Parkinson. Samuel J. Handy left Fridas lor Ogden, where he will spend a few days on business. !
