Show Schools GVHS Homecoming Week GVHS News GVHS will be holding ParentTeacher-Conferences on Tuesday, September 26th in the little gym, from 3 to 6 pm. Students will be dismissed from school at 11:50 on the 26th. Page 5 The Gunnison Valley Gazette Thursday, September 14, 2006 • Homecoming week kicked off with the royalty assembly on Monday morning at the high school. Sarah Southwick and Sam Judd were voted Homecoming King and Queen. The Homecoming Prince and Princess are \ Fredi Villanueva and Terra Despain with Gentry Jensen and Heston Neal as Duke and Duchess and Connor Dyreng and Kayla Bartholomew as Count and Countess.. The theme for the day / was "Grooving Super Hero." Superman, Spiclerman. Super (Principal), Debra Madsen, and Frank Pike. (Community Members). This important council represents our school and helps advise the school in its duties in spending Trust Lands money, formulating school rules, accreditation, activities and other important decisions we make at our school. We meet every two months at 2:10 in the afternoon. The PTA will be set up near the door of the little gym with refreshments. That evening you will be asked to vote for the district recreation tax to help support a new soccer progranrand all other athletic activities throughout the year. On Tuesday, the students wore their tiedyed apparel while participating in activities during their lunch break. On Wednesday, you can find the students in all their 50's finery. There is also a Manly Man Volleyball game and a Powder Puff football game planned for that day. Come out and show your support for the Bulldogs at the Tailgate Party on Friday before the big game. The Homecoming Dance will be held on Saturday from 9:30 to 11:30 p.m. at the school. Parent Literacy to be held this week Parents, please remember that tonight, September 14th, is our Parent Literacy Night at Gunnison Elementary in the auditorium at 7 p,m. If you haven't signed up yet you may do so at the workshop. Don't forget everyone in attendance will receive a free book.
