Panguitch Main Street P.O. Box 858, Panguitch, UT 84759 435-676-2514 pangstrt@scintemet.net ...by Betty Wiley This morning we have the new storm that the weather man has predicted. New snow and a cold wind is blowing this morning. Thanks for the road crew who can plow out the snow drifts again. The wind is blowing and the snowplow had trouble in the last storm as the drifts were all over. The Little Meadows had a lot of snow and drifts too. Raymond and Roma Henrie came from American Fork to spend some time with her family for the New Year. We drove down to the Otter Creek Lake and it looked like nearly everyone was down there either ice fishing, skating, or just enjoying playing and visiting. Dick and Judy Green left to spend some time visiting family during the Christmas holidays but Judy came down with a very serious bug so she has been down with the flu bug at her sisters. V aleria King is filling in for her at the Post Office but I understand that Judy and Dick came home last evening. Tom Wiley had to go through his fields and over the ditches to get to the highway. Everyone I talked to could remember when we used to have a lot of snow in the winter but we aren't used to so much. It's deep when the snowplow gets stuck going up to The Little Meadows or up to Angle along their lanes, I hear that Santa or someone has gifted some of our lucky people in our town with large screen televisions. Layne and Ilene Blood have been up to Salt Lake for the blessing of their little granddaughter, Cortnee Benson. Yvonne Simpson and Jerry Stewart are leaving for Quartsite, AZ and on to California until the end of the month. Mona Rae Twitchell tells me that some of her family were here during the Christmas holidays. Randy and Kathy Gould were visiting with her parents, the Hal Jensens overnight during the holidays. Gayle Ipson has been spending the holidays with her brother and she stopped by here in Antimony as she went back to Arizona to teach. Don and MaryDel Lindgren will be spending their weekends here in Antimony taking care of the ranch as Oli and hisfarnily will be moving down to JohnsoriCanyonJorhisjob.,. . , t , This flu bug or whatever it is called is a bad bug. I have had it along with many others and now V an has it. Our son, Jeremy, who lives in Arizona, called to say her is down in bed with the same kind of flu. Ned and Coy Burr have had their daughter, Laurie Sandberg and children, here for a visit during the holidays. I was going to report a wedding or two but I will just wait until next week to see what takes place. |
