Williams gave a special spe-cial teachers examination to various applicants ap-plicants last Monday. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wilcox, last Tuesday night, a fine baby boy. Mother and babe doing well. Miss Edna Haymore joined her folks in the Dale this week, too late, however, how-ever, to see her baby sister alive. Mrs. Roy Olsen and family 1 eft this week to join her husband at Hiawatha, where the latter is employed for the winter. Prin. G. F. Hickman has been confined con-fined to his bed a part of this week, necessitating his absence from the Academy. W. C. Behunin returned this week from one of his peddling trips pretty near "all in" from lagrippe. He has been knocked out all week. Pres. Mary Fowler of the Primary associations of the stake, accompanied by Townsman James Petersen, visited Ferron last Sunday in the Primary interests. Parents class in the local Sunday school is now going again with renewed activity. Dr. Bigelow will address the class next Sunday on up-to-the-minute subjects. Dr. and Mrs. Ferguson, now located at Riverton, spent a few days in the D-de this week shaking hands with old friends and attending to various business busi-ness matters. They will tourjArizona the coming winter. The Academy beat the town (in the last innings) with a score of 12 to 8 in a spirited baseball game, last Wednesday Wed-nesday evening, but the town sports expect to "come back" at the un-weary un-weary Willey bunch today on the square. The musical society of the E. S. A. gave a very successful recital last night. Misses Marie Hickman, Nellie Bunnell, Alice Day, Alice Tolboe, Ra-mona Ra-mona Wall and Jennie Crawford all made their initial bow to the large audience au-dience in excellent style. The Second year boys are not asleep, it seems, this year, nor are they particular par-ticular as to who else they allow to make the trip to slumberland. Thev were very much awake Thursday night with excellent exhibitions of the serpentine ser-pentine and other antics. Our cattle kings have been busy the 1 past week getting their herds down from the mountian. They all look sleek and will, no doubt, bring excellent prices. Hyrum Seely is reported having hav-ing loaded a fine bnnch of sheep on the cars at Green River last week. j As may be seen by their ad in this weeks issue, the Third years, or : "Elite" class have one great old time ' prepared for themselves and all those who make themselves their honored guests at the Hallowe'en party next Wednesday evening. This class is , unusually strong this year and promises ; some very interesting stunts this winter. j Wedding bells some more! Mr. Cyrus Wilberg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wil- J berg and Miss Eliza Meyers, daughter of the late Jos. Meyers of Ferron, were married Thursday afternoon by the uncle un-cle of the groom, Elder O. J. Andersen, at the latter's home, followed by a wedding wed-ding supper attended by relatives and a few friends. Kopf, the Huntington photographer, photogra-pher, is in our midst.and is doing a fair business though his exact day of com-ming com-ming was unannounced by the Progress last week on the account of mix-ups in the mail. He is loo well known for his work to need any introduction and is j assured of the people's patronage by being located in our vicinity where de- j fective work would keep him from doing anything at all. He is erecting a first- j class studio in Huntington and is so j well satisfied with our county that he is investing several hundred dollars in ' our midst.
