Leaders were selected and activities were outlined. The leaders being: Philo club, Warney Thompson and Ida Chippewas: Wayne Sear-so- n and Vivian Hunt. The two clubs will compete in all inter-muractivities and sports on condition that the losing team at the end of the year give the winning team a party. The annual freshman initiation began last Thursday with the white washing of the G by the freshies, under the supervision of the juniors. Friday the freshies had to wear ridiculous costumes all day to school and parade through town at noon. During the afternoon they were compelled to sell toilet tissue to obtain funds for refreshments for the party in the evening for the entire studentbody, which consisting of social and program ending the celebration. Mrs. Jones is teaching in the district school in Cleveland. The M. I. A. had a very fine entertainment program Tuesday evening, and expect to continue with something special each Tuesday. Special instructions will be given each leader concerning their work for the coming months. Dance instructors and their partners will be taught the new M. I. A. dances. Miss Maxine Christensen, who has spent the past year in California, Is home to remain Miss Norma Jensen who has spent several weeks in Los Angeles, returned home with her. Norma will stay here a week before going on to Salt Lake to enter school. He was accompanied as far as Provo by Mrs. Robert Riley, who had to go back to Provo to have medical attention for her eyes.
