Highway ' i Four bridges constructed between Green River, Emery county, and Thompson, Grand county, by Rowland and Cook, Salt Lake contractors, were recently approved by officials of the Utah state road commission. The new bridges, built entirely of concrete, replace the wooden bridges in that section on U. S. Highways 6 and 50. Two members of the firm, T. G. Rowland and his son, J. B. Rowland, have resided in Green River for more than a year while working on the bridge contracts. This same firm completed the large bridge over the Green river near the town of Green River in March. The Salt Lake men said they had no more contracts to fulfill in that area and are returning to Salt Lake City. Completed For All Schools All contracts have been signed and received by the Carbon county school district from janitors who will work in the various community school buildings during the coming school term, it has been announced by George Ockey, board of education clerk.
