John Eugene Crown HE ATTENDED elementary SURVIVING are his wife of Layton, two sons, John Bradley Crown, Salt Lake City; Robert L. Crown, Layton and two grandchildren. Also surviving are five brothers and one sister, Bert Crown, Arizona; Curtis Crown, Andrew Crown, Loyd Crown, Bob Crown and Mrs. Robert (Lois) Clark, all of Hood River, Ore. school in Salt Lake City and then he moved to Layton. He graduated from Layton High School in 1975. He played football for Layton High IIK WAS horn Jan. 3. 1931 in Ion. South Dakota, a son of Paul and Nellie Rindels Crown. On July 15. 1950 he married Ms ile Gehiing. I he marriage was later solemnized in the Logan CDS Temple. HK W AS reared in Hood River. Ore. He had lived in Brigham City and Tracy, Calif. He had lived in Layton since 1972. He attended public schools in Hood River. Ore.: had been a carpenter in the area for the past 25 years: was a veteran of the Korean Schools state championship football team. He was also on the mothers, Mrs. Henry Lazenby and Mrs. Melba D. Lewis, both of Salt wrestling team. He was an auto salesman for Olsen Chevrolet and a member of the LDS Church. Lake City. Briggs. Also she had 30 grandchildren, and 57 and 30 great-gregrandchildren. SHE WAS reared and educated in Chama, New Mexico. She lived in Chama until 1981 when she moved to Kaysville. GENTILE, LAYTON 546-360- 0 ; ARTIE JOSEPHINE FLINT BARNES Mrs. Artie Josephine Flint Barnes, passed away on Sunday at her home at 2955 Adams Ave. in Ogden of causes incident to age. She was 88 years old. SHE WAS born May 24, 1896 in West Point, Utah, and was the daughter of Henry William and Eliza Wadsworth Manning. Her early life was spent in West Point. She was married to Walter E. Flint, on Dec. 19, 1917, in Ogden with their marriage later solom-nize- d in the LDS Salt Lake Temple. Mr. Flint died on June 30, 1946. She was married to Hyrum K. Barnes on June 30, 1954 in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Barnes had resided in Kaysville, for 30 years, and has made Ogden her home for the past 34 years. SHE WAS educated in the schools of Davis County. She had been active in the LDS 26th Ogden Ward, having been a Sunday School teacher and a Relief Society Visiting Teacher, for a lengthy time. She was a Charter member of the Silver Star Union Pacific Railroad Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Barnes had been employed at Hill Air Force Base, the Naval Supply Depot, and Reed Millinery Shop. SHE IS survived by her husband of Ogden ; two sons and a daughter; Joseph M. Flint of Ogden and Ivan W. Flint of Layton; Fern M. Flint and three of Ogden. Two step-son- s Roy E.
