THERE HAS for years been a special case of family abuse, more commonly known as footballitis that has affected hundreds of wives across the country. If you are caring, there are a few things you might consider doing in the future, if not this Friday after-- I noon or evening. THERE ARE three wives in par ticular, that are presently breaking out in rashes with the dreaded footballitis. They happen to be Laurie Hawkins, wife to Layton High head football coach, Brad Hawkins; Debbie Dickson, wife to Davis High head man, Jim Dickson; and Diane Hancock, the spouse of Clearfield's head football coach, Brent Hancock. If youre not the kind to give them a warming phone call, then look them up this Friday at their respective husband's game and tell them that you feel for them. Do your best to comfort them, even though the new football season is only a couple of weeks old of which they have a heck of a long ways to mrs. o 'IN go. SEE, ITS wives like Laurie, Debbie and Diane that really wonder if they are married at all beginning in and cbntinuing on until the end of October. Their husbands may still forget where they live if their respective teams find themselves into the state playoffs. A tune-u- p for Clearfield will be important this week because Friday they'll travel to Woods Cross to meat a team they could defeat. In fact in Clearfield's last seven games stretching over three years, the Falcons only win has come at Woods Cross two years ago. THEN THE next week, Clearfield will host their first 84 game of the year with powerful Davis coming to town. Even though the Darts and Falcons have always played it closer than expected, it won t be an easy one by any means because of Davis size and depth.
