They a may not be aware of the fact that we offer not just four different spook alleys, but continuous evening entertainment and that most of our rides are open, all at a price thats $12 less than our regular season pass. Most of the rides are open? Yes, answered OBagy. If you want I can even take you over to Rattlesnake Rapids and get you wet. But, even if one just came to experience the spook alleys and enjoy the free entertainment, one could still occupy ones self for hours. For entertainment, visitors have their choice of four gruesome groups: The Fab Frankies, appearing at the Carousel Theatre, the Pink Cadillac Hearse and the Haunted Maze, remember the electrifying times and bring back the tunes from when they had it all together Appearing solely at the Carousel Theatre is The Witching Hour, where three teenage witches combine their powers to create the perfect man. Monster Classics are performed at the Pink Cadillac Hearse and on the Haunted Maze Stage, harkening back to the days when monsters were monsters and movies were movies. Another entertaining option is the Zombie Mambo appearing at the Pink Cadillac Hearse. One night out of the year, the grave gives up its dead and Zombies begin to rock and Nearby, roam! The U.S. Forest Service has granted a five-yeto Wasatch permit heli-skiin- ar Powderbird Guides to continue its aerial ski touring business. The firm operates two helicopters based at Snowbird. Although most of the skiing will be done around the ski resorts near Salt Lake City, Powderbirds will be allowed to operate in the mountains east of Bountiful and Layton. Specifically helicopter skiing is permitted in the back countries of Francis Peak, Bountiful Sessions and the Uintas in Davis County: Helicopter skiers can ski several different runs throughout the day They points after skiing gather at pick-u- p down and are ferried back to drop off points. It's a form of skiing that's not for the faint of heart, as skiers leap into thin air, taking runs that probably aren't groomed like those at your typical ski resorts. The decision to allow helicopter skiing came Oct. 1 . ending a heated debate between proponents of helicopter skiing and those who oppose motorized access to certain areas. In his decision, Wasatch-Cach- e National Forest Supervisor Bemie Weingardt said. Helicopter skiing, as a recreational activity falls within the spectrum of motorized and opportunities considered generally appropriate on National Forest System lands. The decision does not allow Powderbirds unlimited access to Forest Service land. Among restrictions is the establishment of an operating season which runs Dec 15 through April 15: that a no fly" buffer zone will be established around known golden eagle nest sites; that only one helicopter at a time would be allowed to operate in the tricanyon area (an area covering Big and Little Cottonwood canyons and Millcreek Canyon), except for up to five days per season with prior skier-da- v ipproval; use average annual and Area in the caps Northern Powder Circuit: dose the area to helicopter skiing on Sundays and Mondays, while providing flexibility for helicopter skiing throughout the permit area Tuesday through Saturday, remove the Thousand PeaksUnita Mountains Circuit from the permit area and apply a five year average annual cap of 300 explosive charges for slope stability testing in the ing the Hometown: Steve Rawlings and his wife Jenell were both raised on dairy farms in Southern Idaho.
