Mayor Don Townley said he would be in favor of dismantling the ordinance piece meal if necessary. He said I think Salt Lake and Ogden were wise in repealing their ordinance. I emphasize with the comments made by Mr. Johnson and I resent in principle this ordinance. It is an infringement on the citizens rights." The Mayor also said he finds fault with the way citizens are fingerprinted and mug shots taken in order to obtain a beer handler's permit. There is a connotation of wrongdoing when you have to go through that procedure," he said. Bill Mabey told the council that he g the beer has been sales in this town for 39 years. He said that 98 and a half percent of beer sales are in stores and one and a half in taverns with kids getting their beer in stores.
