Tolman on August 27 In Fourth ward Relief society rooms. The young couple were united in marriage that day In the L.D S. temple in Salt Lake City. Apostle LeGrande Richards officiated. The bride is the former Mary i Lu Burrows, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard E. Burrows of Brigham City. Mr. Tolmans parents . are Mr. and Mrs. Claudius Tolman of iHoneyville. For' the reception the rooms were beautifully decorated with bouquets of gladioli and carnations. The wedding cake was displayed upon a lace covered table. Bouquets of carnations stood on either side of the white four tiered cake. It was beauti- with wedding fully decorated bells and topped with a minia- ture bride and groom standing under a archway. The newlyweds stood before double branched candelabra which were tied with white satin ribbons, bows and bells. 'For her wedding gown the bride was lovely in a creation of nylon net over satin. The tightly fitted bodice featured a Peter Pan collar and was of lace over satin. The sleeves were long and tapered. The ankle-lengtskirt was of double nylon net over satin. A satin heartshaped tiara held the fingertip length veil of filmy nylon net. She Carried a - of baby Vanda orchids. bouquet Matron of honor was Mrs. R. George Burrows gowned in pink net. Bridesmaids were Miss Velmai Tolman in pink net and Miss Geraldine Steffen in pink taffeta. Each carried a baby or -- nied by Carol Johnson. Miss Johnson also played several piano numbers during the eve- 1 V h;jIlff ning. Rehee Palmer, Nolma Foote, Joyce Stokes, Mrs. Elva Garrett and Barbara Garrett were in charge of serving dainty refreshments to the many guests who called to extend best wishes. Lauritzens Visit In Brigham City Mr. and Mrs. Jacob M Launt-ze- n were scheduled to arrive m Brigham City this week to celebrate Mr. Launtzens 84th birthday. Mr. Lauritzen is a former school teacher and Justice of the Peace. He is a retired rancher of Short Creek, Arizona. They now make their home in Hurricane, Utah. Mr. Lauritzen is a brother 'of Mrs. Albertina E. Koford of Seventh south, Fourth west, Brig ham City, Hodges Welcome Mrs. Eve Ashton and Mrs George Hodges of Brigham City joined with Vernal residents in one of the largest celebations ever held in Vernal on Monday when Mrs. Rae (Eve) Ashton, recently installed national president of the American Legion Auxiliary, was welMr. comed home. Mr. Hodges rode to Vernal aboard the locomotive engine of the 40 and 8, Legion fun and honor society. Hodges is serving as Grand Chef De Gare of the state 40 and 8 organization. Hodges relates that it took 10 hours to go from Salt Lake City to Vernal with the locomotive and box car on Sunday. As they money.
