There were six high school graduates, thirty-two who had some college credit and seven teen adults making a total of fifty-five fifty-five who would take up the work. Of course others would enroll when the work actually begins. Of these fifty-five who are ready to enroll in educational work the studies desired and those desiring to be interested In each are recrea tional gymnastics 33, speech 14, mathematics 21, music 19, fine art IS, physics 10, dramatic arts 17, agriculture 17, literature 15, home economics 29, first aid 1, history 4, English 12. current topics and aoclalogy S, science 1, geography 1. chemistry, recreation and leadership, leader-ship, German 3, business and bookkeeping book-keeping 2 and typewriting 8. Every class to be organized must consist of six or more students. Cre dit will be given In the different colleges of the state. Students who are unable to attend college may add to their present credits, and when the times brighten and money Is easier to get they may be able' to graduate with this credit to assist them. There is a desire in the heart of every person to get education along the line that they are- interested inter-ested In. Even though they are not working for definite credit their lives may be enriched and made happier if they can add to then- present store of knowledge. The course is open to all. The course Is free, but all students will be required to funuBh their own books and articles needed for the course. Among the teachers in this com munity who have applied for this work are Errtne Smith, An tone Oleason, Boyd Nelson, Fern Burch, Mary Poulson, Fred Richards, Odeal Kirk, LeGrande Jarman. All teach, era must hold proper credentials for the work the same as other teachers. SCHOOL LUNCHES MADE POSSIBLE Many of the school children ate under nourished says an expert in nutrition. This Is sometimes due to the fact that children arise early to catch a school bus, and will not take the time to eat a good breakfast break-fast The Domestic Science department, depart-ment, under the direction of Miss Emily Wright, and her students are serving a lunch at noon each day at a very nominal cost. Some of the things served are hot chill five cents; hot soup, five cents, potato po-tato salad, five cents, filk, two and a half cents per glass, etc. Of course the menu is changed each day so that foods will be tempting. Many of the students bring sand-witches sand-witches and other things then supplement sup-plement them with hot dish from the Domestic Science kitchen. Miss Wright Is trying! to have girls ' prepare the food practically at cost and give the students good appetizlnx dishes. The Relief Society organizations have been busy the past several weeks collecting articles of clothing to be sent to the Saints In Germany. The missionaries there have written of the conditions in that country and the cold and hunger many of the people are forced to endure. Ten Tears Ago Now John E. Christenseni was forced to run his car into a ditch Friday evening . to avoid collision, with, , an automobile. He and his wife were badly cut up and bruised but no bones were broken. William Hayes received a letter this week from his son Emmett who is in the German mission field. The letter required fear postage four tril lion, 480 billion, marks, being almost covered with stamps not one of which was for less than 10 million marks. "Frosty" Richards, a graduate of the local high school and a freshman fresh-man at the B. Y. U., broke the record rec-ord for the five-mile course Thanksgiving Thanks-giving day marathon staged at Provo Pro-vo Thursday. The mark set by Richards breaks the record of Lyman Ly-man Brown, also formerly of this city, who was a famous "Y" runner. Richards made the course In 22 minutes and 48 seconds. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. J.
