The Utah county central reclamation reclama-tion committee will hold meetings In the north, central and south section of the county with the owners of land adjacent to Utah lake during the coming com-ing week. Alpine Stake Wins First Place In Xmas ' "- 'Tableau Contest The last of a series of courses In M. I. A. Recreational courses was given last Wednesday evening In Provo at the B. Y. U. The courses have been given to M. I. X.recrea tional committees and officers of the three stakes Alpine, Utah 'and Nebo and have been exceptionally success ful. - Wednesday evening each of the three stakes presented tableaus as follows: Nebo, "Christmas Morning; Utah, "Christmas Shopping" and At. pine. "Christmas Eve." The taWeaus were given by M. I. A. workers of the various wards of the stake, and Al pine stake was awarded first place. Grant, Tuesday afternoon at the conclusion of the regular meeting. The activities were occasioned by the birthday anniversary anniver-sary of Mrs. Grant": She was pres. ettted with a beautif ul blooming, plant compliments of the Stake board and Mrs. Mary E. Abel read a presentation presenta-tion poem composed for the occasion. The ward Relief Society members presented Mrs. Grant wtth a hand, some linen table cloth. Refresh ments were then served. We truly wish for all thd Season's best greetings for a very Merry Christmas and a Happy, Prosperous New Year, with good will and" fellowship for all.' The American Fork Commercial Club is organized for the business and social upbuilding munity, and we point with pride to some of the achievements of the Club. One of the first achievements was the making of an ideal camping place at Community Flat in South Fork of American Fork Canyon, by making the road passable and placing tables and public toilets sufficient for large numbers and groups of campers. : Very largely through the efforts of tho Club, the Mutual Creamery was located at American Fork. The Creamery now distributes a great deal of money here for milk, cream, butter and eggs for which there was not an adequate market previous- . It was largely due to the American Fork Commercial Club and tlje. Pleasant Grove Wasatch Club that Timpanogos Cave was exploited, 'developed andfinancedt the Club raising $1,000 to install the splendid lighting system in the " cave. -7 The Club members passed a resolution pledging to the County Commissioners sufficient funds through labor and otherwise, to put the Loop Road from South Fork in American Fork Canyon to Community Flat, andwe are pleased to announce an-nounce that this road was completed by the County Commis- and save the autos from being make the road safe for traveh The Club has done much to uviuk uuuiisucu iu iuo uui Grande Railroad Co, and another article with beautiful cuts and pictures of Mt. MRS ANNA II PASSES TO REWARD " Mrs. Anna Hansen, 88. years of age, widow of Hani Peter Hansen, and for nearly sixty years a resident of " this community, passed away last Saturday evening at the home of her son, Heber Hansen of the Srd ward, after an Illness of about six weeks, due to general debility. Mrs. Hansen emigrated to this country about sixty years ago, coming com-ing with her husband from Denmark, having bijen conveVted to the Mor. mon faith. They' settled on the Pleasant Grove bench and Mrs. Han- sen lived there tilt about three, years' ' ago when she came to live In Ameri-.. can Fork.; Mr. Hansen died aout SO years -g;-.X.
