PLEASANT GROVE DEFEATS FORKERS Pleasant Grove baseball fans experienced ex-perienced a thrill last Wednesday when the local team defeated the American Fork team by a score of 8 to S. Tim Richards was particul arly elated because he had, at one time, played with the "Forkers". This Is probably a historic event as It has been many years since this city had a ball team that could defeat de-feat their neighboring city. American Amer-ican Fork will come back with a strong team and fight to redeem their good name. Another victory for the locale occured at Lent Friday, the score being 15 to 12. Both cities used members of their second team which accounts for the high score. o UTAH JUAB COUNTY FIREMEN HOLD CONVENTION SUNDAY The Utah Juab County Firemen held a convention in this city Sunday Sun-day Aug 7- The executive sessional were held in the City Hall begin ning at 2 p m. The publicity we get from the Danish papers Is very much better now than It was some time ago this la due largely to the fact that a year ago we dedicated a new modern chapel here in Copenhagen which is by far the finest the Church has ever built In Europe. It awakened some curiosity and Interest and gave: us a lot of favorable publicity in the Copenhagen papers. A lot of the old prejudice for the Mormons has, been broken down and our big fight' now Is with the Indifference of the peoplo.
