SATURDAY, a When the Cache Valley Bank was started there tyere a good people Who thought that all the banks we needed d and that the new venture would he a failure, but the promoters of the enterprise stuck to their knitting .went out after the godth business, got it and treated all their patrons right, the result being that the institution has assumed a position that warrants us in saying that it is among the strongest financial institutions of the State. There may be some who have thought that" the improvements made at the. bank were in the nature of show and ostentation, hut they are badly mistaken in such an assumption; for it was a case of either making mor e room or 'curtailing the of their business, ami of course no sane person would entertain the latter idea. The business of the bank had grown to a point where it could not be properly taken care of in the old quarters, so- - the establishment, on the north of the hank building was closed out and the partitions torn out to enlarge the home of the bank. In making the improvements, the bank people kept in mind two principal things, convenience ahd comfort for their patrons and convenience for its employes in the transaction of businers. The department where most of the daily business of the bank is transacted is .located in the very front of the building where there are three modern cages where the receiving andpajing tellers do their .work, the rear of these cages opening directly into the cash vault, so that.no unnecessary' steps are 'taken in getting from the tellers counters tq the cash vault. The same arrangement is found in the department located in the north side of the building, a new vault having been .built for of , the records of this department diwhich the bank., and. opens The office room. the into rectly is Cashier and of the President located between these- two departments where these executive heads can see all public business transacted and! are within speaking distance of nearly all the emmany we-ha- ' So now the Cache Valley- - Bank-- ; ing company is equipped to do business with tfye1 public in the way that it likes to do business Financially speaking, it is now stronger and better abie to serve the people than it has ever been. reReaders of The Journal-wil- l KANT FRANCHISE FOR A GAS member that not long ago it became necessary to Increase the capital stock of the company, $50,000, and you may have noticed that none of the stock has been peddled by anybody it was up in a way- that gives a mighty- - good indication as to the standing' of the bank in financial circles. There i;? no more safer or sounder institution of, its kmd in Utah than the Cache Valley Bank, and we are plea5-- ! ed to note its progress. -- At the regular meeting of the on Wednesday evening, II. L. On their return they east their vote by secret ballot which resulted in a tje between the .sec- - : ond ainl third wards. It was decided to divide the prize between these two ward. The secretary of tbeClub-wa- a authorized to. mail to the bishops of these wards the Booster checks of $5.00 each. There were other wards which came in close seconds to the above but it seemed as though there had been more work done in the e two wards by the people and it is evident that the Boosters took this into consideration in. casting their votes. A great deal of work has been done in some of the other wards and there are ' now some piles of rock and rub-- . bish which 'the Mayor and the, street committee of the Cdy Coun cil will have hauled away as soon , v as possible. w-it-h PUT Hay-ball- MIDSJIN After going over the 'matter pretty thoroughly the committee decided to wait until the consulting engineer of the promoters can PASSES come here from the east, before recommending any action to the doi fated a couple of acres of land council.
