D. Steiner of the University of Utah and B. Ball, state supervisor of agricultural education, at the request of Joseph L. Horne, manager Of the fair. It la expected that 100 boy champions In crop and Animal projects throughout the state of Utah will be entertained free in large tents at the encampment. The plan proposes that local boards of education or farm bureaus shall defray the traveling expenses to the encampment. Besides the encampment proper, the boye will be organised each day Into a aemimilitary regime, with bugle call at o'clock, and Including, besidee mess three timee a day, three assemblies each day, two periods for games and --two nours and stock and grain Judging. Bach day will close with taps at 8 theloek. Professor Steiner will be superintendent of the encampment and Mr. Ball assistant Professor Henry Oberhansiey of Logan will have charge of judging contests, Professor A. L. Mathews of the Uni- versity of Utah, of exhibits; Mr. Bail and Gladys Christensen, of demonstrations and transportation; Irvin 8. Noall and Lo-- 1 roy Hlllam, of decorations and arrange meats, and Samuel Morgan of special functions and programs. Camp Hogenson will remain the name of the encampment the same as last year, in honor of Professor J. C. Hogenson, the father of boys club work In Utah. It is expected that Professor Hogenson will the encampment as special super- visor. ) Each high school club agent or school garden supervisor directing projects for boys is entitled to send one boy cham-- i pion in crop production and. one boy champion in animal Industry to the enof ths campment Records up to date must he handed in at project the time of the exhibit A11 members for the camp will report not later than 6 o'clock Monday afternoon, October 3, and no members will be at the camp after October 4, noraccepted will they he permitted to leave the camp before October 7. All names of delegates must be sent to Professor Steiner, University of Utah, Sait Lake, before Friday, September SO. fAch boy is to furnish an exhibit which won him the championship in his locality. AH such exhibits are to be forwarded In sufficient time to reach the exposition not later than October 3, after which date no exhibits will be received. One of the special features of the encampment is a continuous demonstration by relays of six project leaders In six lines of project- - work It is proposed in this manner to give out considerable technical Instruction to farmers in the handling of various farm crops and animal problems and at the same time to give an exhibition of the practical instruction which the bovs are receiving through their project work. The Utah farm boys encampment Is under the Joint direction of the state super- isor of agricultural education and the teacher training department and the extension division of the Utah Agricultural college.
