Practical Child Aid In connection with the annual observance of May 1 as Child Health day, the Social Security board announced that 16 states and the District of Columbia have far submitted and had approved by the board, state plans for aid to dependent children living in the homes of close relatives. More than 125,000 children are benefited by the cooperative fed e system of aid now in ef feet in those 17 jurisdictions, ac cording to estimates submitted by the states.
