Shuman, will deliver the keynote address at the Utah Farm Bureau Golden Anniversary Convention. President N. Eldon Tanner, Second Counselor in the First Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints, will address the U.F.B. Convention. Dr. Kenneth Hood, General Manager of the American Agricultural Marketing Association will speak on the future of marketing in agriculture. ilKOtfEBSflBV COEJOTTOW StMEB Farm Bureau Articles to bo Amended at Convention The Board of Directors of the Utah State ' Farm Bureau Federation on October 9 approved a resolution for amendment of the Articles of Incorporation. The proposed amendment will be voted upon by the voting delegates in the State Convention on November 18. Publication is made in this issue of the Utah Farm Bureau News in accordance with the requirements of law in amending the Articles of Incorporation. Purpose of the amendment is to simplify the statement of objects and other matters now a part of the purposed and to place in the By-La- ws would Articles of Incorporation. The matters to be left for the Defin5 16 and include such as the following: include Articles through By-La- ws ition of membership, the statement that the corporation provides nonstock certificates of membership, proxy voting, the dates of the annual meeting, the composition of the Board of Directors and delegate body, designation of officers, the duties of officers, and such other details are usually included in Articles of Incorporation. The proposed amendment does not alter the basis objects and purposes of the organization, but is a simplification of the statement. The proposed Wording of the amended statement of objects and pur- poses follows: Proposed Amendments to Articles of Incorporation Of Utah State Farm Bureau Federation ( A non profit corporation of the State of Utah) I ARTICLE (Name) The name of this corporation shall be Utah Farm Bureau Federation. ARTICLE n ( Place of Business) The principal place of business of this corporation shall be 629 East Fourth South, Salt Lake City, County of Salt Lake, State of Utah, and the principal officer is Elmo W. Hamilton, presi-iden- t. ARTICLE m (Duration) This corporation shall have perpetual succession unless sooner dissolved or disincorporated in accordance with law. ARTICLE IV ( Objects and Purposes) This corporation is a corporation. It shall be the general object and purpose of this corporation to: Section 1. Featured speakers include A.F.B.F. president, Charles B. Shuman, A.A.M.A. General Manager Dr. Kenneth Hood and President N. Eldon Tanner, Second Counselor in the First Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints. Thursday's clude meetings wUl in- an organization breakfast and an election meeting in addition to the two general ses- sions. The General Session Thursday afternoon will feature addresses by Dr. Hood and Byron Mock, a member of the Public Land Law Review Commission.
