Show REPORT SHOWS SHERIFF'S BUSY During 1923 the sheriff's office of Utah county handled 404 criminal crim-inal nnd SO" civil cases, according to an annual report issued by Sheriff Sher-iff J. D. Boyd. Ninety of the criminal eases were liquor offenses. According to the report there were collected through the office $5,810.84 in fines and $2,133.45 in fees for serving civil papers, or a total of $7,080.20. The liquor cases bandied were as follows: Halting liquor 10, possession posses-sion of liquor TO, selling liquor 10; total 90. Ten of the liquor cases are still pending iu court. Other criminal cases, according tc the report, were as follows: Bad checks, 10 insane persons. G ; burglary, bur-glary, 8; petit larceny, 37; grand larceny, IS; held for investigation 53 ; robbery, 11 ; speeders, 448 ; car nal knowledge, 2; indecent assault 3; abandoning families, 10; for gory, 2; simple assault, G. |
