Show fact that human traits are passed on genetically. In fact, there is such a mass of evidence available avail-able to substantiate this fact that those who have taken the time to look into the concept are its most ardent supporters. There is nothing fatalistic about this truth. It only means that now science can determine wherein we are weak and give us our pattern of living, so that from it we can mould the character we desire by building strength from weaknesses and directing .already existing strenghts into constructive channels. Medical doctors who study personology find that' it opens quickly many doors to their patients pat-ients personalities. School principals prin-cipals who study it are enthusiastic enthus-iastic about the understanding it gives them of children and how they shall be directed. Business men who use it have greater harmony har-mony and peace in their organizations. organiza-tions. Churchmen who use it find it invaluable in counseling their parishioners. Personology takes the guess work out of personality determination. determina-tion. Individuals who have a personalysis are enthusiastic. As a young married lady said only the other week as she left the counselor counse-lor "Only God knows what's in my heart and yet you answered my questions." For many years the emphasis has been placed upon environment as being the supreme molder of individuality. If this were true why is it that of two people born in adverse circumstances, in the slums let us say, one of them will turn out to be a first class bum and the other a first class doctor. This has actually happened and many .other instances similar to it. There is something more than environment involved. That other something is our genie pattern. Our 'internal' environment en-vironment that we carry around with us all the time. We inherit more than our eye color, the color of our skin or our hair. We also tend to act in many ways like our parents or grandparents. We inherit' traits of character. Millions are spent in breeding traits into animals and we accept the fact that it can be done without reservation. Though it is hard to do it, we must also accept the |
