Show J. R. Frees' Celebrate Golden Anniversary An open house celebrating the golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs J. Roy Free.1955 Laird Dr., was given at the home of their n and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ray D, Free, 4515 South 13th East Wednesday evening. The prominent Sugar House family have been associated in business in the area for almost half a century. He is president of Hygeia Ice Co., which was founded in 1912, and was president of the Artie Ice Co., from 1930 to 1943 and helped found Carbo Chemical Co. He was also one of founders of Peerless Laundry, and served as its president for 20 years. The Frees have taken an active part in their church and Mr. Free served in the Granite Stake's high council and was a member of the Lincoln Ward bishopric; he also filled two missions. Mrs. Free, the former Jennie DuChene, was born in South Dakota. She has served as a primary secretary, and in other auxiliaries in Granite Stake. She was also active in the Parents and Teachers Council. |
