Show riwwnfr—WIMwfr irrVTrrf) Wednesday December 8 2004 Sanpete Messenger Sanpete Messenger-Gunniso- n Donald A Olsen Hekn Bjemgaard Rigby Donald A 01 sen 76 of Mesa AZ passed away Monday Nov 29 2004 Donald was born July 1928 in Fayette to Anton and Dora Helen Louise Bjerregaard Rigby 92 passed away Dec 2 2004 Born in Ephraim May 11 19 2 to Amelia Jensen and Christian Bjerregaard Helen lived her entire life just blocks away from the house where she was born Helen loved Ephraim and with her husband Alvin gave of herself for Andreasen-Li- m May Olsen Donald proudly carried the title of Veteran having served in the US Army during the Korean War He dedicated 18 years of his life to Northland Pioneer College in Holbrook AZ and seven years at various educational facilities on the Navajo Reservation He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Ephraim and its citizens Helen and A1 formed the Ephraim Senior Citizens Program which they directed for over 10 years and were instrumental in the building of Ephraim’s Senior Center Helen was recognized for her service to Ephraim by then Governor Matheson but always took the most satisfaction from organizing meaningful programs for the seniors Having lived through most of the 20th century Helen rode the changing times with keen interest She thrived on the daily news from and McKay Sherron Andreasen along with Henry and Lim are happy to Evangeline announce the wedding of their children Amy and Edward They will be married in the Manti Utah Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Saints on Saturday Dec 18 2004 Amy is a pathologist and works at an early intervention clinic while Edward is an aerospace engineer at They plan to continue living in the Bay Area of Northern California in Sunnyvale A reception will be held at the Ephraim on their wedding day Saturday Dec 18 Please note that the reception will be in the late afternoon from pm Anyone who wishes to attend who may have missed receiving a formal announcement will be most welcome ®3H!Jta3B0 William Victor Bartholomew Orem He was born to William Francis and Ida Lorena Larsen Bartholomew on Dec 19 1908 in Monroe He married Eleanor Moore on June 12 1940 in the Manti Utah Temple They have 6 children: Ann Fayette Provo William Bartholomew and He graduated from Gunnison Monroe High School in 1928 He graduated from BYU with a bachelors in chemistry and later from Iowa State University with a masters and a PhD in soil mi- sional magazines Victor loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and served in The Church of Jesus Christ of Saints all his life He was a missionary in the Eastern States crobiology He served during WW II on the Emergency Rubber Project and with the Bureau of Plant Industry in Washington DC He was a professor of agronomy at Iowa State University North Carolina State University and the Univer- Mission a district president during his mission and in the West Iowa District and the Raleigh NC District He served for years as the first president of the Raleigh NC Stake He also served as a patriarch in the Raleigh NC and Salem UT stakes He was a temple worker in the Washington DC and Provo Temples With his sity of Ibadan in Nigeria He guided graduate students from all over the world conducted research in nitrogen Fixation served in and led professional societies and tiaveled the Iowa State world representing University North Carolina State University and the United States government He served as a consultant to commercial companies and government agencies both domestic and foreign He was known in professional circles as “Mr Ni- trogen” He authored or more than 70 scientific papers plus numerous articles for profes- -
