Show Singular Death. Y'ealerday afternoon, the coroni-i held an inquest on the body ol Mary R. Jones, who was found dead on Sunday morning in a bouse iu the i rear of Mr. rtirjma Taylor's store. 1 It appears that deceased had not been seen since last Wednesday, nnd Mr. Thomas Tuybr and Mr. Johu Pickering went lo wuere she iiveJ, ou Sunday morning, and knocked at tbu door. Receiving no reply, they burst open the door aod found her lying on the fl-or, dead. She was evidently in want for nothing, as there were considerable con-siderable provisions in the place, a box of coal, aud on tbe bed $12.40 in Bilver coin, and three empty whiskey I bjttlea, from which it was Burmised tbat she had been imbibing freely, bad become thoroughly intoxicated 1 and had fallen to tbe fijor and was j froaen to death. The ooroner'a jury, however, rendered a verdict of death from natural causes. Deceased was born at Barnstaple, England, and was 60 years ot age. She had been partially kept by tbe 14th wrd for some time past, |
