Show TOMOIOI The following haa been handed to The Dispatch by tbe signers with the request that it be published: lo the Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in the Utah Stake of Zioni It is reported, upon good authority, that different individuals in thia stake are attempting to influence voteis to support certr.in candidates, upon the statement, "That it is the desire of the first presidency of the church, that this or that ticket should prevail." If such claims are being made, it is a reflection upon the honest and sincerity sincer-ity of the first presidency, and all per-Bons per-Bons who use such persuasion should be rebuked. The first presidency have emphatically emphatic-ally stated that the members of the church are entirely and perfectly free in all political matters, and that if any man claims that it Is the wish of the first presidency that a democrat shall vote the republican ticket, or that a republican re-publican fchall vote the democratic ticket, let all people now that he is endeavoring to deceive the public, and is unauthorized to make such statements. state-ments.
