Show Burned Bridges Stop Traffic on Mexican Lines El Paso, Feb. 1. The National Railway Rail-way Hue of Mexico is still tied up on account of several burned bridges. There have been no trains since Sunday. Sun-day. Wires are down and the only means of communication with Mexico City or Chihuahua Is by way of San Antonio and Laredo, Texas. Abram Gonzales, Insurgent provisional provi-sional governor of Chihuahua, declares de-clares that the oppointment of Miguel Ahumada, as federal governor of that state, was Illegal. Ho was merely named by General Dias and comes to Chihuahua to take the oath of office, said Gonzales. "Creel continues to hold the title of constitutional governor of Chihuahua, Chihua-hua, although serving as Mexican foreign for-eign minister. The people of Chihuahua Chihua-hua are not consulted. This Is why the Insurgents are fighting. Diaz and his officials are continually violating the constitution of the republic by appointing ap-pointing officials which the constltu-. tlon guarantees us the right to elect." |
