Show BODY OF HlfiH SCHOOL BOY ARRIVES U The body of Morris A. Whitmeyer, who died Wednesday evening Inst at Ann Arbor, Micbsrof blood poisoning, reached this city today. It was accompanied ac-companied by -his brother, George Wbitmoyer. The funeral services will bo held from the First Presbyterian church Wednesday afiernoon at 2 o'clock. Tho remains may bo viewed between be-tween tho hours of 6 and 9 o'clock Tuesday evening and from 9 to 1 o'clock Wednesday, at tho family residence, S26 Twonty-flfth street Nows of tho death of Morris A. Whitmeyor, a member of .the Ogden high school class of 1911, came as a severe shock to his many admirers and friends In the school. Morris Whitmeyer graduated with honors from the high school in 1911 and was one of. the most popular members of his', class. He was a member of tho 1909-10 football team and hlB work in nthletics won favor-ablo favor-ablo comment from experts in that game. At the conclusion of the season, sea-son, Whitmeyer was chosen as the all-state end He also won honors for his school in track events, defeating de-feating all others in the hurdles. Ho Is remembered by the majority of the students as a quiet, unassuming unassum-ing young man whose natural characteristics char-acteristics made him one of the most popular men in his class Long before ho had graduated from high school, Whitmeyer had planned medicine as a life work and, with that end In view, entered the University of Michigan October I. 1911. Ho was born February 7, 1893, In Ogden. He is the fourth high school graduate grad-uate within three years to depart for tho East and to be brought homo to bo laid away. oo |
