Show Local Welfare Office Makes Monthly Report At the regular meeting of the County welfare board, held Tuesday Tues-day afternoon at the chamber of commerce, the November report of activities of the local welfare office was presented. It was revealed that the office expended $33,617.44 during November, Novem-ber, of which $31,995.80 or 95.18 percent was for relief purposes. The balance of the 4.82 per cent was for administrative costs. Total amount expended represents repre-sents a decrease of $18.73 from October, 1941 and an Increase of $0785.79 over November of 1940. There were 1176 cases under care of the department at the close of November, a net increase of 16 cases over last month. It was reported that 53 households house-holds applied for aid during November No-vember as compared with 39 for the previous month. 34 cases were approved for aid during the month and six were denied. |
