COMMISSION DECEMBER 4, 1995 The Board of County Commissioners met on December 4, 1995 for its regularly scheduled meeting. Those present were Gary E. Sullivan, chairman Chad W. Beginning November 23 and throughout the season, pelts will be tagged on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons in the Southern Region from 1 :00 to 4:00 p.m. at the DWR Cedar City office. 622 North Main Street. They also can be tagged from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 1996 at the Cedar City office of the Glcnwood Fish I latchcry near RkMold. Arrangements can be made to have bobcats tagged at the regional office at other times during the season by making an appointment with the regional office. Possession of untagged bobcats after February 17 is a violation of the Utah wildlife code. Trappers and hunters arc reminded that the lower jaw of the harvested bobcat must be removed and tagged with the numbered jaw tag corresponding to the number on the temporary possession tag affixed to the hide. The jaw, which is used to determine the age structure of harvested bobcats, must be cleaned and turned in to Ihe DWR at the time the permanent tag is attached. Legally taken and tagged bobcat hides may be transported by an individual other than the furharvester, provided guidelines outlined in the furbcarcr proclamation arc followed. Individuals a valid possessing furbcarcr license and temporary bobcat possession tags may take up to seven bobcats during the 1995-9- 6 season. 1 lunters are reminded that the license furbcarcr expires December 31 for the year issued; however, (lie possession tags are good for the entire season.
