Show THE PASSING mx OF PARLEY ALLRED funeral services for joseph asoph parley allred were held in the mt carmel church may 6 5 1930 the services were attended by a large crowd of people ot of tho the mt carmel carinel and surrounding wards the floral offerings ofie offerings rings and the singing were very beautiful the opening prayer was offered by alfred R meeks of the Or derville ward and the speakers were isaac langston of Sp ringdale who spoke of the boyhood life of mr allred elder verdell lamb edward T lamb bishop osmer lamb of the mt carmel ward and bishop edward carroll of the Or derville ward each ot of the speak ers erb dwelt upon the many good attributes of the deceased the singing in order was as follows solo ill go where you want me to go bishop osmer lamb duet wanted on the other side verdell E lamb and mrs airs lola iola talt tait solo 1 I know that my Ite redeemer deemer lives by whitney gifford of Sp ringdale duet whispering hope by edna 0 and an lela C lamb e losing closing song 1 I know my heavenly father knows by david stevens closing prayer earl J after the services the body was taken to Or derville for or burial joseph parley allred was born at sh g washington W hington comity c u tyua utah 26 6 1864 and there during his life before marriage mair tago lie he was ons one of seventeen children born to john J and mary Y allred who were pi eminent prominent ent settlers in the dixie country t ry ile he married rosina brown of order vine ville june 13 1888 and to this union eight children were born seven of whom are still living during his lifetime he has been a faithful church member and worker in the different organizations being sunday school superintendent a number of years a ward teacher during the greater part of his life and at the time of his death a member ot of the high priests quorum mr allred had been ailing during a greater part of the winter however hla his death which was caused by an internal ruptured abeels came as a to all as he was seriously ill but one day before his death which occurred saturday lie he Is survived by his widow seven children thirteen grandchildren two brothers and four sisters to mourn his passing also many to whom he has rendered many kind acts |
