Show ANNA LARSON ANSWERS CALL Mrs. Anna ('. Larson, one of the. the pioneer women of Gunnison, and who was widely known and loved by all, passed peacefully away last Monday Mon-day morning at her liome in lliis oily. Mrs. Larson was S5 years and nine months old and death was due to advanced age. The deceased was horn in Norberg, Sweden. March 15, 1 S :i 4 . and in July, 1S75, came to Utah, first settling set-tling at Salina. Six months later she removed to Gunnison and since thai time she has resided here. She was the wife of Erick Larson, who passed pass-ed away in 1910. Mrs. Larson Is survived sur-vived by four daughters, Mrs. Anna Madsen of Green River, Utah, Mrs. Beda Kuphelt of Lark, Mrs. Hannah Jepson, Miss Tillie Larson, and one son, John Larson, of Gunnison. She also leaves eighteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren, besides hosts of loving and kind friends. Impressive funeral services were held Wednesday at 1 p. m. at thelie-Uef thelie-Uef society hall. Bishop Ernest Swal-berg Swal-berg had charge of the .services, lohn Larson and Joseph Christonsen gave brief and eloquent addresses touching on the sweet life of one who had been called to the Great Beyond. A. choir sang "Nearer My God To Thee, "Oh. My Father," and closed -.villi "I Need Thee Fvery Hour." Bishop Swalberg rendered a solo, 'There Is No Night There." Following the services at the Re-icf Re-icf Society hall the remains were aken to the City cemetery and laid ;o their final rest. Mrs. Larson was a member of the L. D. S. church and all during her ife she was active iu her work. Her pride was in Relief Society work and 'n this organization she was a. teacher, teach-er, and her thoughts were for the care of the suffering. Mrs. Larson was devoted to her family and counted count-ed her friends by the hundreds. Her calling will he mourned by all. Mrs. Beda Kuphelt of ' Lark, Mrs. .nnie Madsen and Leland M arisen of "jreen River, and Mrs. Louie McKay of iantaqvjin, liaughters and grandchileren if the deceased, were amonc these from out of town who attended the funeral fun-eral services. |
