Show County Commissioners. The Hoard of County Commissioners met in regular session Nov. 20th, 1000, Messrs Valentine and Jones present. Tho following communications were rend: Robert Nenl relative to oullding a road In Plymouth, referred to County Attorney; from Joseph J. Larklns; from J.W Palmer relative to rond on barrens near Lako Station; upon motion of Chr. Valentine $75 00 was appropriated to make fill; from John P Holmgren regarding regard-ing shortage In amount paid for land for roitd; referred to tho clerk. Tho application of Thcodoio Anderson with check for 1200 for liquor license at Doweyvlllo, was granted. The matter of an allowance for tho support sup-port of Lona Nichols wos referred to Chr Valentino for investigation, Joseph A. West, representing tho Ogden Og-den and North Western railroad Co., appeared nnd asked that a franchise be granted said company to erect and maintain main-tain a railway upon the County Road from Hot Springs to llrigham City. It. H. Jones, Esq., appeared In behalf of T. D. Orolto and Julia A. Crokc, who own between two and three thousand thous-and acres of hind in Uox Elder County, nnd that Mr. Crokc in May 1U00 sworo to a complaint charging Geo. W. Craghead with perjury and that C. E. Foxley county attorney would take no action in prosecuting, and therefore asked that the Hoard pass a resolution directing Mr. Foxley to prosccuto, or hU salary be not paid. Mr. Foxley appeared and stated that thcro was not evidence enough to convict and that Mr. Jones had not brought his witnesses before tho Justice as tho law requires. Matter dismissed. Tho matter of getting assistance In the clerk's office was referred to Chr. Valentine Valen-tine with power to act. The deed of J, M. Jenson to two rods from the south side of section 13, tp. 13 11, 3. was presented, I Hoard adjourned for two weeks. |
