of the session held sept alth read and approved county attorney pearson reported that he had bad written a contract and a bond for the faithful performance of the work of making a county map the papers were examined and approved and the clerk authorized to sign the agreement im in behalf of the court daniel hall petitioned for relief from paying 0 taxes on account of being unable to pay the same mrs temperance westwood presented a similar petition which also stated that her husband is and has been an invalid for a long time the two petitions were referred to judge IIa Hai ight 0 alit the judge in reported that the screens for the jail windows had been received and had been put up the matter of the abandonment aban donmen t of the old road through bonneville upon condition that the new road be put in good condition was referred to selectman lee to determine whether the now new road has bag been made as good as the agreement specifies selectman N nalder tat der reported that one more land owner had signed the agreement to give land sufficient for the road in layton and that five of the ten had now signed said agreement mr ring king who has had bad ins his laud land fenced foil for eight or ten years declines to move his fence unless he be recovers pay for moving 0 it county surveyor phillips reported d that he had surveyed and laid out the road near layton as aa instructed at last session and submitted a plat of the same which was ordered filed the highway was designated as highway no 22 anti and the surveyor instructed ted to record tile the notes in the road book the highway following the U P rail way from a point where highway no I 1 leaves the railroad north of layton to syracuse junction thence north on sec line to the north boundary of the county is to be known and designated as highway no 21 and the surveyor was instructed to record the notes of the survey of same in the hie road book A petition of the solar crystal salt sail co and twenty six others asking to have a county road opened commencing at the alie northwest corner of township 4 north range 2 west S L meridian thence south on township lines about two slid and one half miles to the shore of the great salt lake was read and hearing set for monday oct igli 1893 at 10 a ill and tile the clerk was instructed to give notice to those interested selectman cook was appointed a committee to nothing in this order der shall interfere with any vested tights rights of any district or any obliga gation entered into by any trustees into under or other oilier per persons botis entered the llie his taxes which list shall be verified and filed with the county clerk the super supervisors shall also give to each person doing work a receipt for the amount of labor performed such receipt shall be available for tho the payment of their taxes the rate for labor so performed shall be fifteen cents per hour for men and thirty cents per hour for team work and where gravel is hauled at a rate per yard to enable the laborer to earn thirty cents per hour upon receipt of the verified lists liss aforesaid duly signed by the respective committee men the clerk shall credit the several tax payers on the assessment roll with the amount of labor performed and draw his warrant in favor of the collector for the sum total P P prophet reported that jos warner and indigent person had died at south weber month was made for the support of reese edwards to be drawn by and expended under the direction of selectman nalder the claim of the CLIPPER publishing company for printing school manual 25 and erv
