Mr. Beckstead was born at South Jordan, Utah, Jan. 12, 1867. a son of Thomas Wesley and SarHt ah Ellen Ashton Beckstead. lived in South Jordan until 1885 when his parents moved to Whitney, Idaho. He married Elizabeth Ann Dunkley, Oct. 22, 1890. Two years after their marriage Mrs. Beckstead died, leaving one son, Amasa Rusher Beckstead. He married Mary Myriam Neeley in November, 1895. Mr. Beckstead was a prominent farmer and stock raiser in Franklin county. He also was active In church work, having filled missions in the southern states and California. He later served as a home missionary. For the past 12 years he has been a member of the Franklin stake high council.
