Although the report itself will not be released until next Spring, information will be released from time to time from the committee to keep the public aware of ing desires and needs. The lack of recreational facilities for all teenagers of the Kearns area was revealed in a recent survey conducted by the Kearns CD g recreation committee. Mr. Orson J. Berg, chairman of the committee stated that 1,000 questionaires were throughout the junior and senior high school students of Kearns. The questions ranged from What do you, as students do after school hours? to What sports or types of recreation would you participate in if the facilities were available in the community? Of the 12 questions asked, the answers showed that the youth of the community are interested in working together to build a good community and at the same time urge the adult pop- or not we have anything here in Keam? fact-findin- fact-findin- distributed ulation to work towards the same goal. One of the major questions asked was, What can we as adults do to help you get the recreational facilities that you want and need? Statements in answer to this question are to be released regularly, that the citizens may become aware of where their children want and need help. One boy of 15 stated, Give us kids of Kearns some place to go. Another 15 year old youth said, Work with us, and try to see, our needs and point of view. When an 11 year old boy was asked this question, his statement was, You parents could show us how to go about planning a recreation program and tell su where we can find some of the answers to our questions.
