Approximately 70 guests greeted the couple who were married Feb. 14 in Eto, Nev. is the former Mrs. Poowegup Ernestine Jake of Cedar City. Employees who have given outstanding service to the tribe throughout the year will be recognized. Length of service awards will also be presented. The invitation list includes all employees of the tribe, tribal enterprises, Public Health Service, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Head Start, Day Care, federally funded programs, and the Fort Duchesne U.S.U. Extension Office. Chief Judge Henry Upchego officiated at the rites which were witnessed by family members and friends of the couple. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Frances Maxine Mt. Lion of Fort Duchesne. She was given in marriage by Arthur Mt. Lion. her The groom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Smith Chimburas. Miss Appawoo chose for her wedding a step-fathe- r, ' floor simply designed, Fur white satin trim length, gown. encircled the cuffs of the long sleeved scoop-necke- gown. The d, bride carried a cascade of carnations and rosebuds which reflected her wedding colors of pink and deep red. Miss Lisa Mt. Lion, maid of honor to bride, choose a deep red, floor length gown, accented by an empire waist and eight-memb- sleeves. long Marlita Kowchee, who attended Miss Appawoo as a junior bridesmaid, and Zannie Engavo, the flower girl, wore dresses similar to the maid of honors, though in a contrasting pink hue. The mother of the bride greeted guests in a street-lengtdeep-regown trimmed with white lace. Robert Reyos attended the groom as best man. Following the ceremony and a family dinner at the Frontier Grill the newly weds greeted guests at a reception at the e building in Fort Duchesne. Taveapont assisted with the serving. The young couple is at home in Fort Duchesne. BAKED GOODS, FRY BREAD, AND CHILI Were popular tens sold at tbe Market Day. Mrs. Lena Bush was among the Ute ladies who broughttheir homemade bread, cakes, cookies, and candy to the sale day in Fort Duchesne. Coordinator Nellie Johnson reported approximately $2,000 was grossed in HnWind sales. According to Mrs. Johnson, another Market Day is planned for this summer. She expressed her many thanks to the in staff for the Multi-Purpo- se order and providing the tables for the exhibitors. p"g ply suurrtKs ut . all Advisory Council Named at Schools A committee was recently established to identify and find solutions to problem areas and oversee federal programs in four schools in the two school districts. The Parent Advisory Committee for the Title VII Project, Sequential Oriented Cognitive Curriculum, under the Emergency School Aid Act will work with West Junior High School, Myton and Todd Elementary Schools, and Union er High School. Named to the council were Gloria Martinez, Chairman; Paula Bell, John Warden, Georgia Wyasket, Robert Reay, Qrlan Cook, Irene Cuch, Violet Parriette, Sharon Mortensen, JoAnna Reed, David Hunt, Delilah Reyos, Kay Trowbridge, forrest Cuch, Ekman, Maxine Serawop, Frank Sandy DuShane, and Ted Allred. - Glenda Brown, Ann auks supped at tne Market Day to purchase Christmas gifti from Ute exhibitors Dec. 6 at the Building fa Fort Duchesne.
