Show Tuo thoele tooele oele MA MIA leaders see festival in S lo 10 the MIA presented a speech and drama festival for the andua con vent on of the speech association of america wh ch met at the U of U on december 29 at the taber nacle the first section of the program was presented by the tabernacle cho r and included the shepherd shepherds s story by dickinson serenade by schubert by bizet cornwall oh my father by me granahan elsa entering the ca thedral by wagner and an organ solo hunting horn scherzo writ ten and presented by alexander schreiner the second half was an MIA pre sen tation and gave the age groups of the MIA and a brief resume of study material A drama happy journey was presented by a group of ward dra ma directors and showed how a play could be put on with very few properties many of the dances were pre dented and then the speech pro gram was taken up and several phases of this recreational actie ity were enacted ann C larson presented a violin solo of come come ye saints which was truly and chril ling many of the MIA members and directors of tooele thoele and grants ville stake attended this festival it is their report that the program was well worth the time they spent in see ng the over all picture of the MIA recreational program |
