Ahnette Ray, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Ray, of South Weber, attended the state convention for the colleges of Utah and was elected secretary of the state home economics clubs. This convention was held at the Hotel Utah last Saturday. Annette is president of the Home Economics Club at Weber College. At the convention this club was considered the most outstasding club of the state, it exceeded all colleges in the state for its activities. This included the University of Utah and the BYU at Provo. Carma Hatch was elected newspaper ednor also. We want to congratulate you Annette on your fin scholastic record and this wonderful achievement in excelling in things you undertake to do. Rogir Bambrough was pleasantly surprised Saturday evening by his school friends who gave him a surprise party on his 15th birthday. Games and dancing provided the' entertainment. The Daughters of the Utah Pioneers held their monthly meeting at the home of Mrs. Jane Poll last Wednesday afternoon. The lesson was given by Captain Mattie Ray and a biography read by Luella By ram.
