Feted In For Literary League-Gir- l Provo On Flag Day Scout A pron Sale Plans for the Literary League-Gi- rl Scout Apron and Handiwork sale have been completed and committees named to act on various phases of the affair. The sale will take place on Saturday, Jyne 26, commencing jn the morning in the fore part of the building occupied by the Beauty parlor. Mrs. J. Bracken Lee is general chairman. The Literary league ar-- 1 rangements committee consists of Mrs. Vernon Merrill, Mr. E. C. Mrs. Ernest Lee. Members of the League on the sale committee include Mrs. Hal G. MacKnight, Mrs. A. N. Smith and Mrs. Earl Hills. The Girl Scout council members who will assist with the sale are Mrs. Melvin Elk-ingto- n, Mrs. George II. Sibbett of Provo en- tertained Escalante Chapter of D. A. R. at their annual Flag day luncheon on Monday, June 14, at her summer home in Spring Dell, Provo canyon. A buffet luncheon served in the lovely gardens was followed by the regular business meeting. Mrs. W. E. Fleetwood of Provo, state regent, installed newly elected chapter officers. Informal talks were given by Mrs. R. E. Bristol of Sandy, past vice president general, and by Mrs. A. J. Harmon, who were married late in May, were the honored guests at a reception Monday evening in the Price tabernacle. About two hundred guests attended, enjoying dancing and light refreshments. The wedding cake was placed on a table covered with a yellow cloth and adorned with yellow candles and pale roses. Roses formed the half decorations also. Mrs. Harmon formerly was Miss Lena Nielsen of Castle Gate. Farewell Party Given For Kenilworth Family A farewell party was held Saturday evening in the Kenilworth torium for Mr. and Mrs. Varro C. Jones and family, prior to their departure for their new home in Provo. Mr. Jones was recently appointed C. I. O. organizer for three states Utah, Idaho and Wyoming. The community of Kenilworth was invited to the affair. Luncheon was served, and music furnished by Mr. and Mrs. L. Leavitt. The Welfare organization presented Mr. Jones with an initialed brief case.
