Funeral services were conducted Monday in the Castle Dale L. D. S. ward chapel, with interment under the direction of the Wallace mortuary. Mr. Andersen was bom at Christiania, Norway April 4, 1849, and came to the United States in 1874. He settled at Ephraim and later moved to Castle Dale, where he has been unusually active in affairs of the L. D. S. church. He was the first clerk of the Emery stake, and served as bishop's counsellor and superintendent of the Sunday school at Castle m fi, Dale for many years. He also served ! as cashier of the Emery county bank and deputy clerk of Emery county. i In 1891, he became editor of The (Beehive), Salt Lake paper returning to Castle Dale four years later. His first wife was Kathinke Anderson. To this marriage the following sons and daughters were born: Mrs. Hulda Andersen, Castle Dale; Mrs. Olga Olsen, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Ida Larsen, Castle Dale' !Mjs. Sigrid Madsen, Salt Lake, and Alma Andersen, Price, Mr. Andersen later married his .first wifes sister, Nathalia Wilberg Andersen, who survives. Also are the following sons and daughters by his second wife: Mrs. Rose Christensen, Los Angeles, Calif,; O. J. Andersen, Jr Mountain Home; Mrs. Dorcas Judd, Castle Dale.
