Lauris, district deputy collector of internal revenue, announced Tuesday his February schedule of visits to various Carbon and Emery communities for the purpose of assisting taxpayers in preparing their income tax returns. The itinerary announced by Mr. Lauris is as follows: February 6, Spring Canyon; February 7, Standard ville; February 8, Hiawatha; February 9, Mohrland; February 10, Columbia; February 13, Castle Gate; February 14, Kenilworth; February 15, Consumers; February 16, Emery and Ferron; February 17, Castle Dale; February 18, Huntington. Between February 19 and 28, Mr. Lauris will assist taxpayers of Price and Helper. Members of the committee are M O. Carlson, B. F. Mclntire and E. K. Olson. According to Mr. Olson, the association also plans to take steps to enforce the code regulations concerning retail prices of coal. A meeting of wagon and truck mine producers is scheduled for Thursday evening at the court house MACARONI 3 Round Package, PEANUT BUTTER te ni.d 4 Prrhminary plans are being made for the first annual A. A. U. boxing tournament to be held In Carbon county the latter part of February under the sponsorship of Price lodge No. 1550, D. P. O. Elks. The committee in charge of arrangements for the meet includes Allen Browne, chairman; Dr. Sanford Ballinger and Erin Leonard. Elimination tournaments will be conducted in each community in the county, with the finals scheduled for Price. Considerable Interest has already been shown by the amateur leather pushers, and a large number of entrants are expected to take part in the trials. Medals will be awarded to winners in the various weight divisions, and the champions will be sent to Salt Lake to participate in the intermountain A. A. U. tournament.
