PROPOSAL TO DISMISS OFFICER FAIL8 TO COME UP FOR VOTE At a meeting of the city council Friday evening, Mayor R. E. West asked for the dismissal of Nephi Gunderson from the city police force in the interests of economy. After a brief discussion, the mayor was unable to obtain a motion on the proposal and it failed to come up for a vote. At the present time, Gunderson is receiving $130 a month as deputy chief of police and $20 a month as chief of the fire department. Chief of Police Vernon Davis reported to the council that if the economy measure were passed, the reduced personnel of the police department would be adquate to provide the city with proper protection. scven-pound"bn- The honeymoon is over when the bride stops calling the groom up by phone every day when hes at work to make him guess who it is.
