To get best results they recommend: divide the grazing season into six periods of 35 to 40 days each. There would be early and late spring, early and late summer and ear. ly and late fall. Set aside an area or pasture for each grazing period and follow a rotation system in which each pasture is grazed in a different season each year. By using rotation grazing and careful planning, ranchers may graze their cattle on creasted wheatgrass ranges from April to December. Their cows will be able to gain up to 150 pounds on such pasture f they are given an additional small of protein supplement Without the supplement they can still gain approximately 100 pounds.
