Show POWELL DIE 0 F P N I 1 H M 0 ki I 1 NIG I 1 funeral held tuesday afternoon in second ward chapel A large group of sympathetic relatives and friends gathered in the second ward chapel tuesday afternoon for funeral services for hayes powell 23 who died at the fhe home of his father C W powell jr on saturday evening of pneumonia and heart trouble following a weeks illness bishop W L warner wamer presided at the services for which speakers were newell K young and superintendent in A J ashman Alu musical numbers were vere sometime well understand though deepening trials sung by a quartet composed of mrs L A poulson mrs otto L anderson H B mendenhall and clifford magleby the lord is my shepherd Shep heid a trio number by mrs airs poulson mrs airs anderson and mrs airs vern blomquist and the clodin closing song going home by the trio bishop warner offered a few closing remarks of consolation to the bereaved family the invocation was by W A the benediction by G W coons will owens dedicated the grave interment being in the city cemetery wry pallbearers Pall bearers were ray lowe steve peterson max fairbanks george young and fred ackerson members of the relief society carried the floral tributes hayes powell was born february 24 1912 at richfield a son of C W and margaret marga ret owens powell he attended the schools here where he graduated from the richfield high school in 1933 he married vivian sylvester surviving are his and two children kenneth and an infant daughter his father one sister phyllis kny llis powell his stepmother step mother three step sisters and one stepbrother all of richfield |
