The revue will be held in Galveston, Texas, May 21, 22 and 23. Entries for the local contest must 1m made at once at the Weber The contestants must enter before 8 p. m., Monday, gymnasium. April 4. From the list of contestants the preliminary judges will select about 20 girls foi tbe finsl contest. The points for the judging will be beauty, form, grace and personal charm. The judges will be Jesse S. Richards, secretary of the Ogden chamber of commerce; V. II. Layman, of tbe Ogden Utah Knitting company; K. G. Van Buren and Miss Owens, of the Weber gymnasium, and A. F. Wolfer, local merchant. Miss Utah" will be selected from the twenty contestants on the evening of Monday, May 2. The lucky girl selected will go to the second international pageant of Pulchritude and eighth annual bathing girl revue, at Galveston, Texas. The expenses of Miss Utah" and her chaperon will be paid as follows: Round trip railroad and pullman fare, all hotel expenses while in Galveston. In addition to the above The Ogden Post will give Miss Utah" $200.00. In the contest at Galveston, Miss Utah" will be expected to abide by the rules of the pageant committee. Thus far 40 of he principal cities of the United States and twelve foreign countries have made entries. The prizes which will be awarded are as follows: Grand prize, $2,000 in gold and silver plaque denoting award of title, Beauty Queen of the Universe." First prize, $1,000; second prize, $!00; third to ninth prizes, $100 each. Shriners Will Hold Spring Ceremonial In Ogderi Tomorrow Ogden will be the oasis of the members of the El Kalah temple of the Ancient Arabic Order Nobles of Mystic Shrine tomorrow upon the occasion of the soring ceremonial, when a class of about sixty novices will be lead across the burning sands at the big livestock Coliseum on West Twenty-fourt- h street. The caravan will start on the journey with a parade from the Masonic temple on Washington avenue to the Coliseum at 1 :30 oclock SatAfter the cereurday afternoon. monial. which begins at 2:30 oclock, the nobles with the new members will return to Hotel Bigelow for the banquet at 6:30 oclock. El Kalah temple has about 1,500 members throughout the state, and of it is expect'd that over one-ha- lf this number will be in Ogden Saturday with their ladies. The greater part of the members will he from Salt Lake, rlthough Ogden has 250 members in the order. A large number of visiting Shriners from the temples in Idajio, Montana, Wyoming and Colo rado will be present. The Nobles from Salt Lake will leave there in au automobile caravan at 12 oclock noon Saturday. The parade from the Masonic temple on Washington avenue will start at 1:30 oclock sharp. The El Kalah band under director L. A. Yot. will lead the caravan to the Coliseum. The El Kalah patrol, under Captain Burt H. Smith, will escort the novices and nobles.
