Show CARD PARTY AND DANCE. Tho card party and dance given by Harry A. Young Auxiliary No. 1 of the United Spanish War Vetorans, at tho Armory Wednesday ovenlng was one of the most successful given by that organization,' The hall was decorated dec-orated with flags and the national colors col-ors and with the brilliant lighting pre-Bentod pre-Bentod a pretty scene. Cards woro enjoyed until 10:30, when hot coffee and doughnuts were Borved to about 150 people. A splendid splen-did musical program was furnlBhed by the Rodcoe Glasmunn orchestra and tho unique and laughablo hnrdtlmos costumes added to tho merriment of tho occasion. Messrs. C. J. Hansen, J. E. Batchelor and V. Stevens wore the Judges of tho hardtimes costumes and they decided that the costume of Mrs. Jennie Garneau and Mr. Henry Ackarct were the most laughablo ones on tho floor and prizes were awarded accordingly. Card prizes wero also given Mrs. Eldora Kennedy and Mr. W. D. Stewart, Stew-art, receiving first prizes, and Mrs. J. E. Smith and Mr. Joseph Weaslor the consolation prlzos. |
