Several national companies have managed to bull their way to the top of the market by exploiting this Walter Mitty syndrome. In fact, the national marketers seem to have an exclusive on this particular art form. Too bad, because it could be used to equal advantage by the local Salt Lake businessman. Jacobs, proponent of the proposed company. Jacobs and Keith H. Jacobs have asked permission to merge State Bank of Lehi, Bank of Pleasant Grove, Mountain View Bank and the proposed Geneva State Bank, making them wholly owned subsidiaries of the holding company. Messrs. Jacobs are currently stockholders of the four banks. The holding company law, passed in 1973, permitted independent banks to affiliate in closer relationship with resulting economies, Kay Jacobs explained.
