filled with savage tribes of indians of uncertain temper and carried on amid all the hardships and privations of pioneer life cut but their triumph over all difficulties curties is written in the history of the state of utah and it was aptly summed up by theodore Bh eodore roosevelt when lie once said here is IH this state the plo pioneers and those who came after them took not the land that would ordinarily be chosen as land that yields return for little effort you took a territory which at the outset was called after the desert and you literally not figuratively made the desert blossom as the rose so it is this achievement as well as the anniversary of the he founding of a religion that is being celebrated in salt lake city in april there is also being celebrated a social order
