The two boys were at first noticed by Marshal Fowler as they came from .the Powers Shoe Store wearing new hats. The boys rode bicycles up to the Lehi Drug where they threw one of their old hats in the road in a paper sack. A passing motorist picked up the parcel and Marshal Fowler took the license number think ing the boys had lost the hat When he asked the boys what was in the sack they said "Only an old hat' They then went into the Drug Store and bought refreshments, from there they went into several other Main Street refreshment stands and spent money so freely that Marshal Fowler became suspicious. He quesioned the boys who stated that their names were Brown and Smith and that they lived at American Fork, east on the high way. Marshal Fowler told the boys they seemd to be spending a lot ot money and asked where they obtained it. The one boy stated that he and his father had been, workng and that his father had given him a part of it but could not say how much had been given him. x Wi Both receive degrees this month. Salt Lake officers were notified but they had not received any report of the boys being missing from their homes. They were held in the Lehi Utah County City Jail overnight officers and the American Fork Post master questioned them. BAND CONCERT THURSDAY The Lehi City band will give their second concert of the summer, Thurs day evening, (Tonight) on the High School steps. "Th concert will begin at 8 p. m. The boys are practicing regularly and have one of the best bands that Lehi has ever had. They need your support and encouragment Your attendance at their concerts make them feel that their efforts in livening up the summer months with their music is not in vain. Special numbers for Thursday's concert will be a duet by the Russon sisters, trumpet solo by Ronald Price and a vocal solo by Keith Lott. The boys are planning the usual Fourth of July early morning sere nade, planning on joining the parade at Bingham later in the forenaon. Mr- - Brown, who lives at Lehi Junction reported frightening someone fiom his lot that same night They are thought to be the same ones who stole the Edwards chickens.
