TO BE PRESENTED The Public Speaking Class of the Lehi High School will present one of America's outstanding comedies in the High School Auditorium on Saturday The night, March 2nd, at 8 p. m. play, "It Pays To Advertise," is full of good comedy that will keep an audience interested from the first curtain to the last. THE LEIH IS&EFRESS In WASHINGTON Carter Field, noted capital correspondent, in a weekly letter, now gives the readers of this paper on intelligent understand-- , ing of what is going on In Washington. Read these brilliant, forceful and illuminating letters, which appear under the heading SEEM and HEARD AROUND THi NATIONAL CAFITAL Your Once upon a time Utah county's total expenditures for an entire year were less than the countv paid in in- terets on its bonds during 1934. That starts out like a fairy tale And it sounds like a fairy tale. But it's true. Among the old files of the county Clarence A. Grant, county clerk, found statement of the receipts and expenditures of Utah county from May 21, 1877, to and including May 20, 1878. The total net disbursements were $12,506.45, leaving a balance of $4,347.08 in the treasury for a grand total of $16,863.53. Last year the interests on bonds in Utah county wa3 $17,370 and the total budget for 1935 was set at $337,521. Of course that was before Utah even became a state 18 years before.
