Dex-tric- - ts Mrs. Utah county is getting federal relief at the rate of one million dollars a year. In figures disclosed Saturday, W. Lester Mangum, county relf manager, showed that during the past eleven months there has been a total of JS6.039.99 distributed in direct relief, work relief and commodities. From May 1 to October 31 the relief clients in the county received a little over a half a million in addition to commodities, the exact sum being $514,1SD. August and October were the boom months for relief, the relief surging over the $100,000 mark in both months. In September it was $19,000 and in May. June and July it hovered around $70,000. The FERA program started on May 1, but figures before that time, from December 1, 1933, to May 1, 1934. include the CWA and direct reief. Combined, these make a total of $371,859 for that period. The commodity relief has become an increasingly important item, particularly since the government started distributing fresh meat through the drough relief program. Since January 1. 1934, the ;omraodlty relief, in terms of market prices, has come to five-mon- th 168,911.41.
